Immigrants all over the World have Organizations to Stand up for Them; The Frontera Fund and the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota

There are organization in place all over the world for exactly this reason. Even before Donald Trump became President of the United States, organizations were working around the clock to bring a great way of life to immigrants and provide refugees with important necessities.

The Frontera Fund

Fighting on American soil is The Frontera Fund, an organization founded by two newspaper men who were previously abused by Joe Arpaio, former Sheriff of Maricopa County. Other victims of Sheriff Joe consisted of the local immigrant community, primarily Hispanics.

When Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin, the journalists, were arrested by Joe Arpaio and awarded 3.75 million dollars in restitution, they decided to create The Frontera Fund.


This organization works closely with other like-minded charities to benefit the local Hispanic community. Michael and Jim work in collaboration with organizations like the ACLU and the Arizona DREAM Act Coalition in order to make a real change in their community.

Hispanic Federation


The Hispanic Federation was founded in 1990, working inside the health and human services community to bring about political and economic change in the Hispanic community.


The Hispanic Federation has headquarters in New York, D.C., Florida, and Connecticut. Millions of individuals all along the East Coast benefit from the efforts of the Hispanic Federation.


Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota


The Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota are working to create country more welcoming of immigrants. This organization offers legal representation to low income members of the immigrant community, fighting for their rights when they don’t have to money to fight for themselves.


The Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota is working to make a fairer immigration system.


More About Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin


Lacey and Jim are the former co-owners of Village Voice Media, operating dozens of newspapers all over America.


They became national known when Joe Arpaio arrested them, violating their first amendment rights as journalists. Prominent newspapers such as the Washington Times and the New York Times featured the story in their publications.


Thanks to the efforts of their newspaper peers and the outcry of a nation, Lacey and Larkin were released. This event increased Joe Arpaio’s notoriety to a national scale.
